On the 10th Day of Christmas — the first Monday of the new year — we look to the future, the very near future, with the New Rochelle Council on the Arts.
The arts council has just closed its call for entries for its spring show. "Utopiapix: Visions of the Future, Then and Now," featuring works by artists from the tri-state area, will be on view at New Rochelle Public Library's Lumen Winter Gallery March 1-31. Pop artist Charles Fazzino, artist and Westchester Philharmonic musician David Tobey and Castle Gallery director Katrina Rhein are the judges for this exhibit, which has a $500 top prize and a second prize of $250. www.newrochellearts.org
The theme of "Utopiapix" inspires the inevitable question: If you could design a future, what would it be?
