Kudos…

…To James A. Attwood Jr., a Bedford resident and managing director of The Carlyle Group, who succeeds Judy Evnin as chairman of the board of trustees of the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts in Katonah. Says Caramoor’s CEO and General Director Michael Barrett: “I’m very excited to have Jim Attwood’s leadership at Caramoor. I’ve been able to get to know him well over the last several years, and I’m confident that with his guidance we will be very successful. I also want to congratulate Judy Evnin on such a successful tenure. I’m glad that she will stay on as our chairman emerita and that Caramoor will continue to benefit from her energy and generosity.”
…And to Vladimira Pipova,  a student in  the Westchester Community College Visual Arts Program, who won a $1,000 scholarship for her entry in the recent SUNY Student Art Show in Albany.  Pipova , a Mamaroneck resident, was honored for “Crimes Against Art,”  her striking triptych on the Nazi confiscation of art during World War II.
